School of Excellence - Dumfries Ice Bowl

News - News

Sunday 5th – Friday 10th July

SIHL in conjunction with Dumfries & Galloway Council ran a School of Excellence at the Dumfries Ice Bowl which was attended by 72 young Ice Hockey Players from all over Scotland.

The School Coaches were from the Next Generation Hockey Skills who run the Junior Programme for Ottawa Senators.

As well as On Ice coaching, the players were put through their paces in a vigorous Off Ice programme. There were classroom activities which contained tuition on technique and nutrition.

The feedback from Players and Parents was very positive and the SIHL would like to thank Dumfries & Galloway Council, Ice Bowl Staff, Junior Development Committee for organising the School, Scotland Coaches who attended and assisted, Group Councillors, Jim Watson for classroom, Gayle Moffat for Off Ice and Nutrition, Players and Parents, last but not least Next Generation Hockey Staff.

You will see from the pictures, the participants enjoying themselves.

Once SIHL has prices for the Group Photograph, framed and unframed we will post on the Website how to order.
